The location is fantastic, just a short walk to the beach, and the family room was clean and well-presented. Breakfast was a highlight, with the children enjoying endless toast. Unfortunately, we faced several issues, including noise from barking dogs in neighboring rooms and a disruptive mechanical noise early in the morning. Parking presented a challenge, as there was no hotel permit available, leading to a hefty parking ticket before finding a more reasonable option nearby.

i really loved my stay at clarence house hotel. the location is just perfect with stunning sea views from our balcony. room was spotless n super comfy, gave us a fab nights sleep. the staff were all friendly n helpful which made our stay even better. we enjoyed the little beer garden at the back too, it was chill after a long day.
the walls were pretty thin so we could hear noise from neighbors n there were no signs to be mindful of quiet hours. also, we didn’t like the breakfast options, felt a bit overpriced for what was offered.

This place suits me perfectly, providing everything I need, like free wi-fi, a bar/lounge area, and access to the beach. The helpful staff guided me on dining options during my first stay. Highly recommend it!

The terrace bar offers stunning views across the bay, perfect for those sunny afternoons. The beer garden serves as a cozy suntrap, providing a great spot to relax outdoors.
Rooms can feel cramped—particularly when sharing with two people—and the bathrooms are notably tiny with concertina doors offering little privacy. While the stay was comfortable, amenities like an extra soap for the shower would have made things more convenient, and the noise from adjacent rooms can be a concern during late hours.

Great location with friendly staff
The location of this hotel is simply fantastic, right on the esplanade with stunning views of the beach. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. the hotel’s decor could use a refresh, as it felt a bit dated and the noise from other guests was quite disruptive during the night.

Absolutely loved the dining scene! The Clarence House’s bar and lounge area vibe was top-notch, perfect for winding down with a pint. Plus, you’re steps away from a delicious local feast at the Wheelhouse Bar or a cheeky fish and chips at Fecci's!
We had a slight hiccup with noisy barking from unattended dogs in other rooms, which led to a room change. Still, the staff's understanding made it easier to look past it all!
